The Truth About "Overnight Success" in Network Marketing and Direct Sales

There is no such thing as overnight success in this or any other industry. For some reason, in networking, we are often led to believe that for less work, we can make more money!

The only people that seem to be overnight successes in this industry are those that transfer companies after spending years building their downlines elsewhere.

I recently heard a story of an individual that set a company record by reaching an executive leadership compensation level faster than anyone else in that particular company ever had. What an accomplishment, right?

Unfortunately, the success of this individual made other distributors in the company question their own accomplishments. It is only a natural psychological reaction to resent others when they achieve a certain level of success. We have all felt this way. The important thing to realize about this industry is that the scenario I just described is going to happen. Luckily, I am willing to tell you to expect it so you can be prepared when it does.

Again, this is not a get rich quick industry (unless you are a network marketer that has the ability to transfer a team to a new company!) The good news is that just like any other business, for hard work combined with organized planning, getting rich with your own business is definitely an option!

Esteemed author, Robert Kiyosaki, believes that Network Marketing or Direct Sales is the perfect business to work from home, part or full time. He says that the minimal start-up costs combined with the in depth training is a great way for an entrepreneur to own their first business and to learn how to run a business!

Listen to the Robert Kiyosaki presentation by clicking here.

Look at these success stories from a new mentor of mine, Mike Dillard, author of a revolutionary book that has changed my business, Magnetic Sponsoring.

Dan Akroyd was a mail sorter in Canada.

Jennifer Aniston was a telemarketer.

Halle Berry worked in a department store.

Bill Cosby shined shoes.

Simon Cowell was a mail room clerk.

Michael Dell was a dishwasher.

Tom Hanks was a hotel bellman.

I was a pizza delivery boy and sold knives door to door.

(Add your story here)

Everyone starts at the bottom! Network marketing and direct sales is not different from any other industry. Luckily, success is a choice. If you can make the definite decision that you will be successful in this industry, follow an organized plan and not quit, you will create your own "overnight" success story!

I hope you found this post interesting and motivational!

Interesting article. People gotta do what they gotta do. My first job was as a dog walker when I was sixteen. I also stuffed mailers and envelopes. Ah, good times. I'm in the process of buying a business right now (found it on BizTrader.com, which BTW is a great place to find a small business on the Internet), and I know that my employees are also just trying to get by. Been there, done that. I can empathize
